Thank you to the 195 students who created an entry for the
"Chinese New Year" bookmark contest. The 2nd grade submitted the
most entries with 55. The Student Council judged this year's bookmark
entries on Thursday. The winners are: 1st grade girl, Sarah Hardiman, 1st grade boy, Owen Lee, 2nd grade girl, Devon Ortman, 2nd grade boy, Kai DeLaCruz , 3rd grade girl, Betsy Robison, 3rd grade boy, Andrew Torres, 4th grade girl, Isabella Craddock, 4th grade boy, Jeremy Ridge, 5th grade girl, Laura Connolly and 5th grade boy, Bobby Poole. Winners will receive a $5 Book Fair gift certificate redeemable at the Book Fair, March 6th-12th, and their entries will be made into library book marks. Congratulations to all this year's winners. Boxtops  LAST CHANCE to get your Boxtops in to your classroom! Please drop off all your tops by Monday, Feb. 22! Each top is worth a dime and EVERY dime counts! Sets and Props needed for BVE School play The Burton Valley Players will be presenting a splendid play on April 1st called PIRATES! THE MUSICAL. We could use your help to create great sets and to supply props. We need anything related to pirates such as: - White Sheets for Sails - Ropes or Chains - Barrels or Large boxes (cardboard or wood) - Fishing Nets - Pirate or Ship Props such as pirate flags, plastic swords, buoys, skeletons, cannon balls, plastic rats, stuffed parrots, lanterns, rope ladders, etc Be creative!
