Updated: June 4, 2010 Events  Lost and Found The Burton Valley Lost & Found is rapidly accumulating sweatshirts, jackets and lunch boxes. Please check the lost & found for your child's missing items. Carts are located outside of the school office and across from Room 7. Last day to claim items is Wednesday, June 9th. All unclaimed items will be donated Thursday morning, June 10th. Camp-Read-A-Lot Please participate in Camp Read-a-Lot, Lafayette School District's summer reading club. Look for the flyers in your child's Friday Folder! This is a recreational reading program designed to encourage a love of reading. A book list and recording sheets are available for download from the school website: www.lafsd.k12.ca.us/burton_valley/read Students who participate will need to record the book titles and number of pages they read this summer. A prize will be given to all students who meet the requirements and turn in their recording sheet to their new teachers in the Fall. This return-to-school event will be held in the Stanley School gym the day before school starts, Tuesday, August 24, 2010, 7:30 to noon, and 3 to 7 pm. As we "greenify" this process, we will have more registration information online and less forms to complete, but we still need lots of volunteer help to organize and work at the event. Sign up by June 15th and save $25.00 per student! It's easy to register and pay at the same time on the new website at www.lamorindaschoolbus.org.
